Why CURE-SHOCK Matters
When circulatory shock occurs, every minute counts. As the body's circulation begins to fail, vital organs no longer receive the blood and oxygen they need to function, rapidly leading to organ failure and, in many cases, death. Despite the devastating impact of this condition, current therapies remain limited and do not address the root cause of shock.
The EU-funded CURE-SHOCK project aims to tackle this challenge through a fundamentally new precision medicine approach to treating septic, burn and traumatic shock.

Treatment for Shock
At the heart of CURE-SHOCK is Invobenitug, a novel antibody designed to address one of the key biological drivers of shock. By evaluating this innovative therapy in an international clinical trial, the project aims to pave the way for a new targeted treatment that could help save tens of thousands of lives in Europe every year and transform the future of circulatory shock care.
